Sound Enhancement Pipe - Delete

Let's face it, the Boss has one of the best looking engine compartments to come along in years. But, Ford's "fugly" Sound Enhancement Pipe is out of place - and quite frankly not appropriate for the Boss. The function of the SEP is to transmit engine intake noise into the cabin of the car to enhance the owner's experience. In the Boss, there is already some good sounds transmitted to the driver via the side pipes - and the SEP just adds "ugly" to an otherwise attractive engine compartment. We came up with a simple kit to eliminate the sound pipe that we call the Sound Pipe Delete (SPD) kit. The kit includes a flat plug at the firewall, but also includes a grommet that can alternatively be used. As it turns out, if you want to route any wires to the engine compartment, this OEM hole is positioned for VERY easy access. We used it on the Cool Tech cars to route wires for additional gauges. Anyway, visit our site http://www.cooltechllc.com if you have any interest in eliminating this fugly tube. Here's a before and after shot...

I always hated that odd looking umbilical cord, surprised they even kept it on the boss.

Honestly, I couldn't tell ANY difference - with or without the sound pipe.

I wish this kit would've been around when I got rid of mine. Took a while to find something for the fire wall that didn't look botched. $12 is worth saving that headache.

Cool, thanks Kendall. Ordered. I was putting in the FRPP (K&N) drop in filter and my CARB sticker tonight and realized it was in the way of both!
