New LS/Pedestal Spoiler
My 1st mod to Boss #2970 is done, a new LS/pedestal spoiler. They're a lot of work, even having done one before.

Looks great! Define "a lot of work"?

First you assemble the spoiler after its been painted, which takes about 20-30 min. Then you carefully remove the existing spoiler and clean-up the remaining double-sided tape, which take another hour. Then installing the new spoiler takes another two hours. Just figure it will take 3 1/2 to 4 hours if you take your time and do it right.

Charlie, a new personalized plate is on order, so 03 MACH1 will soon be available for some happy 2003 MACH1 owner. It's about time, since I haven't owned a Mach1 since the S197's became available.

LOL Charlie! I'll let you know as soon as it gets approved. I only gave the paperwork to title clerk at the dealership, so it could be taken by the time the paperwork gets processed. To be safe, I provided a 1st and 2nd choice.

Steve gave me several tips when I installed mine and they were very helpful. The tricky part is drilling the two outside 3/4" holes underneath the trunk lid. They need to be offset a bit to the outside otherwise you'll have a tough time getting a socket on the nuts.
My understanding is the Boss team wanted the LS spoiler on both cars but the marketing guys intervened. Here's a screen shot from the Mustang Boss 302 Making a Legend DVD. Can you tell which spoiler that is?

Still waffling over doing this vs. just going to an APR adjustable wing setup; this would all be done in the process of turning the car into a wheel-to-wheel racer...NEXT year.
