I enjoyed that. Nothing new to learn, but it's still good to see..........and I'll never tire of Dave P talking about his baby

And his boyish grin couldn't hide the fact there's stuff up their sleeve for the 50th

Yep, not much to learn, rather wrong facts like the wrong story on Charles Keresztes doing the 3D pony for production (he did the one for the Mustang II 1974-1978, Wayno Kangas did the first 3D model for the 64) and
the Mustang I was always a Mustang named concept, never named Allegro.
Allegro was a different concept car series for the production Mustang, not one that turned into the Mustang I 2 seater.

Anyway good entertainment as intended.

Thanks for sharing ! As it was really nice to listen and see Lee Iacocca once again..

The more I see the 2015 in actual video rather than just in pictures, the more I'm liking it even better.. As it's really growing on me more and more each time I look at it..

Lee Iacocca is 89 years old, very different from the man I'm used to seeing in the past. Still good to see him talking Mustang though.

He's very different from the man your used to seeing because he's 89 years old and is also in declining health..

It's a privilege just knowing that he's still able to get around when it comes to making public appearances as he really doesn't owe any of us a **** thing..

But despite his poor health, the man still gets out there and makes time for those of us who are still just as passionate about the Mustang as he is and has remained so for nearly 50 years after the very first Mustang was introduced back in April of 1964..

Even to this day, I still resent Henry Ford II for ever firing Mr. Iacocca.. As it was definitely unjustified and totally unacceptable IMO..

Just think of how things at Ford would've been if only he'd been given the green light to run the company as it's CEO.. Especially after turning Chrysler around during his tenure as Chairman and saving them from going bankrupt.. Go figure !

Poor Lee did not look good at all, they could´ve have at least do the interview seated as Fria was holding him much of the time.

Jay Leno is the best... a true car guy and he really seems like downright decent human being. He's also pretty funny too.

I thought the same thing.

I love how Leno urged the engineer to squirrel the car away and hide it from the crusher... I suspect they thought of that already.

What's the rationale about crushing them? Does anyone know for sure?

My houghts are that they don't want to he liability of a prototype out there that may not be fully functional or not completely sorted out....also it costs money to hold inventory like that (along maintaining the space) and it's possible that a prototype car may have a very high property value when it comes to tax purposes.

Just guesses...

I have to agree here. On the whole, the car looks really fantastic in actual video. The interior looks just about perfect (by my non-snob standards)... I just hope that they step up the wheel offerings. The wheels on that GT are nice but I'd really prefer some more offset if possible.

Agree about the wheels, i'd like to get black wheels but not too crazy about the 19'inch one's we see on the red GT. They remind me too much my SVTPP wheels which are a real PITA to clean. I'd actually like if they would offer the optionnal 20' inch wheels in black. A wider tire option would be a great addition as well. I'll be seeing the car in real on the 22nd as it will be at the Montreal auto show. Can't wait . Will be buying a new DSLR camera for the occasion. ddc4d

A few years back I went to the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky. They had some concept cars on display there. They listed a few reasons about why they typically destroy the concept/prototype cars. Among them were the facts the cars are not street legal, many parts are prototype parts (that can easily break and not replaceable), the US government imposes significant taxes on all cars (even if not sold), and there are usually quite a few prototype cars during the development of a project (some of which may give away design ideas that were not implemented on the final product and may show up in a future product).
