California Special Fog Lights
California Special Fog Lights
Last week I purchased and installed the Cali Special lower valance with fogs. I'm very happy with the way it looks except that the stock bulbs don't match my HID's at all. So today I went to every freaking auto parts store in my area looking for some xenon match bulbs and bought 3 different types and installed them one at a time to see how they looked. All of them were crap.
Anyway, I just ordered some LED fog lights that are supposed to match 6000K HID's. For anyone that is interested here's a link
Generic LED-18-H11: LED 18 SMDs H11 6000K (Xenon White) Light Bulbs -One Pair : Amazon.com : Automotive
I'll post pics when I get them in sometime next week.
Later!

i just ordered some led bulbs hoping to change my gt fogs to a white light. Well they emit practically no light at all. So i did some research and now ordering xenon filled bulbs instead, ill see how that goes lol.
I don't think u will like those LEDs... I had those same 6000k one from vleds.com and I was extremely disappointed with them... even the dim factory halogens looked cleaner... I had my California valence for like 3 months so far, I love the look but I can almost guarantee u that u won't like the LEDs... the projector housing dims them a bit

Funny - just added the CS fog lights too and for now have the stock halogen (puke)
Just received a set of CREE '12W' LED H11 bulbs that I'm going to try as soon as I can get under the car. GOt them off ebay; look good for a fog light bulb. Mostly drive in the city so don't need HIDs in the fogs (have em stock). Let's see...

I installed the LED's and they were crap. They were the correct color but they put out so little light that you could barely even tell they were on during the day, and at night the hid's drowned them out. They would be good for the grille, but they just don't work in the projector housing of the cs valence.
Lol, the LED "bulbs" are bigger than the California special projectors themselves. Not to mention the focal point would be wrong since its not made to work, even if you did. I am more tha LAN happy with the light output and results from the HID conversion.
