2010 exhaust swap for under $30

Replaced the stock muffler with an '09 GT muffler (from a manual) which has a true 2.5" ID throwout. Will sound much better and the tailpipe cut lines up with the opening nicer too.

I have some mufflers left over I used on my '06 V6

.

Video clip? Btw, it woulda been nice if Ford had designed a stylized exhaust tip to fit the rear fascia better. They took the time to make all those creases and bends in the bumper, why didn't they take the time to match up the exhaust to it??

I just made this switchover last night. I got a set of take-off mufflers from a 2006 GT that I plan to eventually use for a dual setup. I swapped over the one muffler for now, and my initial impressions are real positive. Regular cruising it is not any louder than the stock muffler. When you get on the power, it sounds A LOT better. Kind of a smooth V6 tone, and louder than the stock.I cannot wait to hear what it is like with an X-pipe and both these mufflers on the back.

I did the same thing, my $12.00 muffler and then I got the X pipe and left over the axle pipe from Ford and finished it of.
With the Shorter tips on the 08 mufflers I found the GT500 Rear fitted them better.
