Be more informed before you compare your portable Garmin or TomTom to the $2200.00 Multi Media interface that is often referred to as the Overpriced Navigation System. I have to say that calling it a nav system is not at all accurate because it does so much more. Anyhow please share these videos because I have helped many people setup their basic SYNC system and pair phones. I also notice many debates in the forums of how quite a few people think their phone navi or their $100 portable navi unit with free updates is an equal system........WRONG!!!

Please add your "Turn by Turn" thread here and please continue to post write ups and good informative videos here.

Many people have had these cars for a while and do not know how the system works. Some have been pissed and yelling at the system because it does not control their CDs (which it cannot, only devices over USB).

FORD made some professional videos but we need to post them up every time there is a SYNC question. www.syncmyride.com is also a good place to get help.

This may be in one of your links but I haven't found it yet. As far as the navigation part of the unit:

• Does it create tracks of where you've been and can you upload those tracks from the car to your computer so you can save them?
• Can you upload POI (Points of Interest) files from the computer/internet to the navigation system? I have the Garmin which I can upload .gpx and csv files. These files are like "National Monuments", "Strange places to visit in the US", or just personal points I've saved over the years. Can I upload these?
• Are the maps, restaurants, gas stations, etc updated automatically, by subscription, or not at all? Roads and business are constantly changing so these needed to be updated.

I'm sure I'll think of many other questions but basically I have a Garmin with Lifetime maps and was wondering how that compares to the Ford Navigation System. What features would I lose if I went with the Ford Navigation system? Thanks.

My name for the woman speaking to me in my Mustang is: Sincee (SYNC).

One of the things I do to strengthen the relationship w/ the wife is point-out how nice and polite Sincee talks to me and why can't the wife be more like Sincee. This has been a big hit and is my recommendation to others also wanting a strong relationship.

The thing I don't like about the NAV is the printed paper manual is too fat to fit within the documentation pouch provided with my Mustang.

My NAV has "lost it's mind" several times already where it totally confuses voice commands. My BIL and I have a running joke about my car calling him instead of my daughter. When this happens the NAV needs to be reset and all is fine for months.

Great info. Can you advise how to connect iPhone 4s seeing on touch screen same as on iPhone? Seen your video showing use of Samsung mobile phone navi at your car. Cannot get he same with my iPhone... Ie no chance to use navi here in Czech. Thanks a lot. Milan

I have not been able to borrow an iPhone to setup the system with yet. I know it is possible. I would need a couple of days to figure out how to get the image to the screen.
