**STEEDA 2010 GT STEEDA COLD AIR TEASER***

Hi guys. Here is a little teaser of our upcoming cold air intake system for the 2010 Mustang.....

This system will be sold as a cold air/tuner combo. Don't have pricing yet. Production pieces should be about 5 weeks away. Take a look......

As you can see our system will tie into the factory air routing system which is a very good system from the factory. It has good surface area so it is not restricting and provides the coolest air feed into the system.

Its hard to see with the bumper on, but here is a shot of where that air ducting starts with the bumper removed...

Looks promising. Will it seal against the hood and can the sound tube still be attached?

How much extra horsepower do you think it will add to the 315?

Adding to the 315 at the crank might bring you to 330-335. Question should be how much xtra power will it add from the stock set up? Must do a dyno at stock and then with the new CAI installed. Most CAI with a tune add about 25rwhp so if the current set up is giving you 10rwhp then the Steeda/tune should give you a xtra 15rwhp.
Steeda claimed the CAI and tune would add 38rwhp to the 05-09 but i have never seen one dyno with this much.

Thank you DarkCandy08GT. It looks like i might end up getting a '10 GT in a few months. I have to get an automatic because i have a couple bullet holes in my left leg. I've seen a few "stock" 2010 GT's being dynoed. They have an average of around 280 to 285 wheel horsepower. I would like to have 300 wheel horsepower, i would be happy with that number. I hope i can get this with a c.a.i., a tune and an exhaust system of some type. Do you all think 300 wheel horsepower is possible with these 3 mods?

Intakes and tunes have been getting around 14rwhp & 14rwtq from what I have seen so far. I dyno'd 284rwhp & 295rwtq with just the Roush cat-back exhaust.

I will be making a Tune/CAI purchase in a few months. I'm curious how much power can be found. All i've heard is that Ford did a great job with the factory CAI system and the tune is from the 08-09 Bullitt, which was pretty good. From what i've read, a tune, from one of the major players, will at least make the car more snappy and eliminate the sluggish feeling in the factory drive-by-wire system. I guess it doesn't hurt to advance the timing some either. I love to see some real before and after results on a dyno.

Just ask some Bullitt owner what they found if they swapped out their CAI and had a custom e mail tune?

It is not really the same.....different intakes still. But probably closer then what a regular GT would gain.

I would also like to see before and after dyno results on a 2010 GT. With 15 horsepower more from the factory, all from a tune and c.a.i., i'm afraid there isn't much more horespower to be had from an aftermarket c.a.i. and tune.

Including tuning you will see gains of 20 to 25hp and up to 25ft/lbs of torque. I am working on getting a dyno sheet scanned to you guys can see the whole power curve....

Here is what many of you have been waiting for. Some dyno numbers.

If you take a look at the sheet below, peak numbers really dont tell the whole story. The peak increase is in the 8 to 10 horsepower range, but as you can see in the curves there is a ton of power to be had in the low end and mid range.

Gains of 20+ horsepower and 25+ft/lbs of torque can be achieved and over a very wide area. This is great usable power. Thanks for your patience on this guys.

Intake will be on the shelf this week and are already posted on the website. A combo pak with a tuner should be posted by Monday. The intake kit will be 399.00 and the combo pak 749.95. Give us a call at 954-960-0774 if you have any questions.

Wow, that's pretty impressive. I know a couple folks in my club, as well as a few Mustang rags, have been trying current CAI's against the new Ford intake and haven't been able to come up with any significant gains. That made me impressed with Ford's peice. Now if the new Steeda kit is making 20+ on top of the Ford peice, that's quite a leap.

When can we expect production? And what's the estimated cost? (Sorry if I skipped over those details, I'm trying to catch up on a lot of threads quickly.)
