New center cap time

Finally pulled the pin and ordered up some different caps, and boy am I glad i did! For anyone who is thinking of switching from the plain stock center caps that come with the 18's, go for it!

Here's a couple pictures to compare:

Boooo boring caps!

Bling!

Much better

I also wanna thank 05stangkc for hooking me up with these!! Very quick shipping and just an awesome guy to deal with! Thanks Kevin!!

I like the pony but the chrome on the silver just looks odd. . .

How easy was it to replace the center caps? Do you have to take the whole wheel off or can you do it with them already on the car? I'm interested in replacing them too but I didn't know you can remove them to begin with and I didn't want to risk scratching my wheel trying to figure out how to install them.

You have to remove the wheels because the caps are held in with a little ring that expands the clips, making the cap hold onto the flange.

Nice! They look similar to the center caps on the Brembo Brake Pkg wheels.

Thanks guys, I think it's a huge improvement from the stock caps, and yes they are the caps that come with the Brembo wheels.

These pictures really don't do them justice... In the sunlight and if your rims are clean, the silver really "pops" and sort of blends in with the chrome ring. Plus the lug nuts are sort of chromey. Chromey?

I did this with the base wheels that came on my '06, and again with my '11. I think it's a nice look for a great price. However, I don't relish taking each wheel off to remove the old hubs. Since they are virtually worthless to anyone, I just drill a small hole in the hub's center, and then partially put in a wood screw, and yank the thing out with a pair of pliars. Quick and easy.
