New 5.0 Owner

Just got my sterling grey '13 5.0 last week! I previously had an '09 GT, but unfortunately it was totaled 3 weeks ago by some oblivious driver (broadsided into a concrete pole). Process went fast, got the insurance money and basically as a blessing in disguise, got the 5.0! Had to get it with the track pack, recaro's and the 6 speed manual I am in love all over again, so I'm excited to talk about some mustangs with all you fellow owners out there.

3 weeks is pretty quick! Glad you are happy with the new ride! I've had mine for almost 8 months and I still get excited to drive it.

I got mine with the same options plus the 301A with Sync last September and still look back when I'm walking into the house. I find reasons to go places. I also went through 6 tanks of 93 in the first three weeks I had it.

That's exactly how i feel, cant take my eyes off of it. For some stupid reason, I checked my MPG after the first tank (day 2 of owning the car) and was at 12.1.....OUCH

Sorry to hear that, but I know how you feel, at first I was sad to get a new car, now its the best thing that could have happened.

I drive as fast as I can most of the time and there are some places here that the speed limit is Unrestricted. I usually average around 18. The sweet spot is just under 70 MPH with the cruise on. I get up to 24 after about 1.5 hours of that. Boring but efficient.

Wow man that's wayyyyy efficient, I'm going to see how good I can do with daily street driving, hopefully 15.

Daily driving mine I average 18. This is after the first oil change. Before I was getting 15ish.

Beautiful car... Can't wait to get my own Sterling Gray GT in the garage! Would have gone for the Recaros, but the only option the wife insisted on was heated seats (plus, I really wanted a red interior).

That's exactly how i feel, cant take my eyes off of it.
I know that feeling... The night I got my first '65, I kept going out in the garage to flick the light on and just look at it.

Congrats! And nice color choice. Mine is a 2012 GT Premium in Sterling Gray as well with the manual tranny. I love it, even after 15 months and 9,500 miles. I look for excuses to go to the grocery store or wherever. It is a powerful, responsive beauty that just loves to go. Stay safe.
