Headlight Halos on 2011 Mustang. *Pics*

I bought some Headlight Halo's for my new Mustang. Finally got around to installing them a few days ago.

Getting all the glue removed after prying the headlights apart sucks.

The worst part was finding out that AAC gave me the wrong halos! I called them and after around 30 minutes of on hold/off hold, someone told me how to trim them myself. :icon_really:

I also had to make some aluminum rings to install the halo's into the lights. I am not sure if they correct ones for the '10-11 Mustangs are easier, but these sucked! I would NOT do this mod again!

Here are photos of the light apart and LED Halo Ring 3M taped in:

Here is how I went around curing the RTV after finishing the install:

nice job. Taking the headlights apart and putting them together to make sure they don't leak is a PITA. Then there's no guarantee you won't have to go in and replace a bad ring later.

Lights look great and don't look ricey.

That's pretty. I wish someone would make a high quality kit to make the 2010+ GT fog lights into halo lights.

It takes a lot of time to do this install. A minimum of 3-4 hours to get get the housings out, baked, apart and clean up the glue.

If you choose to use RTV to reseal the lights, you will need to clamp them and let them sit overnight.

I pulled one apart after it didn't seal correctly, it was still a PITA to break the RTV seal.

Very nice. I hope the '13MY has DRLs as well integrated into the design as that
