Hard shift 1-2-3 and wrong oil??
Special Service Message: 21661 2011 Mustang - MT82 Cold Shift Effort
Some 2011 Mustang vehicles equipped with a MT82 6-speed manual transmission may exhibit increased shift efforts in cold ambient temperatures. This is usually most noticeable in 1st and 2nd gears but may also be noticed in 3rd through 6th gears. Engineering is investigating this concern and no repairs are recommended at this time. The use of friction modifiers or other fluid additives is not recommended since although they may provide some immediate improvement in cold shift effort. They are likely to result in long term degradation of the synchronizers.
Effective Date 12/20/2010.

thats exactly what oasis says..
FYI:
Brought the car in Thursday for a flywheel/clutch assembly/transmission replacement. Got a call later that day from the dealer saying Ford Powertrain Engineering intervened and asked that the dealer pause the repair in order to "implement 2 new changes that should solve the problem for good."
Change 1: "6 newly designed pressure plate bolts" need to be ordered. They are in very limited supply (backordered) so I picked up the car and will await their call when the bolts arrive.
Change 2: XT-11-QDC fluid should be used in the new transmission. Ford's transmission fluid matrix and service manuals list XT-M5-QS as the correct fluid for the MT82, while the owner's manual lists XT-11-QDC. Ford Powertrain Engineering is now confirming that the Getrag-recommended XT-M5-QS should no longer be used... XT-11-QDC now is, indeed, the correct fluid. XT-11-QDC is the same fluid used in the new Dual Clutch Fiesta transmission.
FYI: 2011 Mustangs with MT82 built beginning August 24, 2010 received:
- New synchro rings (1-2, 3-4, 5-6, 5th and 6th outer rings, reverse)
- New Reverse gear (output shaft)
At the moment, dealers cannot order parts for the MT82. Their only option is to replace the tranny. I suspect Ford will issue an official fix once they have a supply of new synchronizers on hand. The official fix will probably state the fluid should be drained and replaced. If the problem persists, replace the suspect synchronizers.
My car says on the door jam it was built 8/10. Wonder what day? I suspect 8/23/10... hope the new tranny has the Job2 updates!
Stay tuned!

The number for yours should start out 1201008xxxxxx...
Take the first digit "1" off that number and the next 8 digits are the build date.
If fluid is the problem, how come every car does not have identical problems? Or is it a certain combo of problems results in poor shifting/bad tranny? Like a+b+c = grinding... Mine was built 5/10, so it is an early build and aside from some rough shifts when cold out mine has been flawless, no grinding whatsoever. And I am far from the only one. Is it possible some cars have the proper fluid and some that were built during a certain period got the wrong fluid?

Update:
2nd transmission
2nd clutch slave cylinder
2nd pilot bearing
3rd clutch assembly
3rd flywheel
3rd fluid change as per Ford Powertrain Engineering
After 100 miles, grinding again on the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts, difficult to get into 1st when stopped, non-progressive clutch engagement.
There are over 900 posts from owners with the same problems at allfordmustangs.com and multiple safety reports to the NHTSA website. Land Rover Defender2 and Ford Transit Panel van owners overseas with the MT82 are also reporting the same issues.
At Ford's request, I'm bringing the car to, yet, another dealer tomorrow morning (7th time). If they can't fix it this time, I'm going to ask for a refund. I'd like to just ask for another car but there are owners with mid January builds, and grinding, at 300 miles so getting another 2011 may not solve anything. I'm so sad over this as the other aspects of the car are stellar.
