Driving a manual transmisission, do you let off the accelerator at all when flying down the 1/4 mile?
Does doing this cause any damage?

Mine dies when I hit redline. Until I release the accelerator. I can't just floor it and powershift like the old days.
In fact in that 11 sec vid you can hear him hit the limiter in 1st & 2nd.
But you can get a WOT box so it bounces off the limiter repeatedly.

So if I get a WOT box I can set it to hit 7300 at every shift?
Thanks

I let off the accelerator slightly when I shift. I used to think that I let off all the way, but passengers have informed me that there's no way I am, based on looking at my leg motions. So I guess I only lift partially. Frankly it happens so fast I don't have time to analyze my motions. Maybe I should stick my GoPro down there!

WOT Box? I guess the terminology changed.
We used to call them "stutter boxes" AKA Rev limiters.
I guess the OP is asking about is the difference between "power shifting " and speed shifting.
In a nutshell, power shifting - you don't lift. Speed shifting - you lift a little bit.

Nice ! Was it an easy install?

Not too bad, you have to solder a few things and run some wires (if you're experienced in that) shouldn't be a big deal. Took me about 2 hours to install taking my time doing it right.
one of the best mods I've done to my car, I just bring my laptp to the track with me and dial in my two step when I have to.
