2011 Glass Roof and heat?

Any of you guys with glass roofs noticed any difference regarding the heat factor? Ford claims only 1 degree difference, but am wondering if that's really true.

Also, please post your overall impressions of the glass roof. I'm thinking of getting one, but am not sure it's worth it.

Thanks!

It's awesome. I NEVER drive around with the shade closed. You get slightly more front visibility and it REALLY opens up the cabin. Regular coupes just feel claustrophobic by comparison.

If you close the top shade after you park it won't get that much warmer. Feels maybe a few degreesat most.

The glass roof also looks amazing front the outside. Totally worth the 1700 or however much it cost.

It's been mid 90's all month around here. I've gotten back into the car after work (4pm) both with the shade pulled, and without, and it's HOT either way. But it isn't any hotter than my steel roof Mustang would have been. IMO.

It's God-awful hot here now, & I keep my shade closed on hot, sunny days. I do think it makes quite a difference. I also think that with the shade closed it still lets in noticeably more light & heat than a normal roof. Those things said, I still love the glass roof.

I havent noticed it being any hotter at all. As a matter of fact the glass roof seems to have a slight mirror coating to it and I imagine that helps reflect allot of the UV.

I haven't felt that the glass roof was to blame for excess heat in the car. I blame the designers who trimmed the steering wheel, gearshift ****, and seat belt buckle in metal...

The glass roof is a total delight so far. The light, the spacious feel, and the views are all great. I do wish it wasn't fixed - either removable like a T-top or able to pop up in the back like some sunroofs.

I have only closed the sun shade to demonstrate it for onlookers.

Ford claims that it's panoramic glass roof's filters 97% of UV's. So far i think it is the best option box i checked for my car. I just love it, it opens up the cabin so much more than the regular coupes, and the view is just incredible.

Mine doesn't seem to be any hotter after sitting out in the sun for a day than the solid roof Mustang I traded in for it. Plus the A/C on the '11 seems to work really well and cool the car quickly.

The glass roof is simply awesome. Changes the whole car....

I can't understand why one wouldn't get the glass roof. Yes, it's 24 pounds extra in the wrong location... but the tradeoff is fine... it's amazing everyday driving it... just a wide open feeling. It's great.

The $1,995 price tag would be the only reason to second guess it at purchase time. But honestly, I'm soo glad I ordered it.
