Ford's 2014 F-150 Tremor Brings Back the Sport Truck
http://news.pickuptrucks.com/2013/06...ort-truck.html
Called the F-150 Tremor, this all-new model in the lineup is based on the regular cab shortbed pickup and will be dressed in most of the FX4 trim package (which will include a standard manual electronic locking rear differential) with one unique difference — it will have a twin-turbocharged EcoBoost V-6 under the hood; a first for this wheelbase.

So not impressed. They are trying their best to push that ecoboost but its just not impressive enough to convince everyone. Just not enough of anything to sway from a V8 truck. Put that ecoboost in a ranger body instead.

Because that's almost all they are sticking out on the lots. Sorry folks but a full size pickup requires a V8 engine. Of course the ecoboost is fine for someone who occasionally needs a truck and a every day commuter all in one. Nothing is wrong with the ecoboost F150. Nothing is impressive about it either. The gains just are not enough to choose the ecoboost. Then if you need a 4x4 with some heavy duty accessories, no dang way the 6 is gonna cut it.

I have a friend I work with shopping for a FX4 and is catching hell finding a 5.0 truck. Everything in stock has an ecoboost. I would like to see the build numbers of the Eco compared to the V8. Ford is pushing them on their customers and they claim they are just as good. Ok Ford, ill buy that.

If customer doesn't wanna buy a 3.5L - he would walk out and buy a Chevy, GMC, Ram or maybe even Toyota or Nissan. If that customer truly doesn't wanna a 3.5L, he's not gonna buy it.
