Prototype 2012 Boss 302
Greetings All!
A buddy of mine purchased a 2012 Boss 302 in the spring (a friend of his owns a dealership and purchased it for him at a dealer only auction in Flat Rock, MI). When he took delivery we noticed it was tagged TT0001 and found that odd.
So I know it is a very early model year build (09/10 build date), part of the tooling trials, but anyone know where I may be able to find any further information on these early builds?
I have heard rumors that some of these early builds didn't even have all of the correct components. Not sure how to verify or nullify the rumors though. I find it odd that such an early build made it to the aution block.
Thanks
Matt

Matt-
I find it unlikely that a production release Boss (even an early one) was shipped by Ford "without all of the correct components". Typically on a model year change over or new release, production builds 50 or so vehicles which are all impounded and carefully gone over by quality control to insure everything is as directed by the model build sheet. Once this batch of cars is deemed built to spec, they are released to the ordering dealerships. Subsequent builds are then shipped when completed off the line.
What information are you looking for on this Boss?
