I just heard the news before I left work. Very sad news - my thoughts and prayers are with his family. Richard lived around 4 miles from me, and the cemetery where the event took place is about 5 miles from my house. I hate that I never got to meet him

Yeah, saw this today. All kidding about his name aside, it's always sad to hear this kind of thing.

 

It is very sad indeed. I read it this afternoon and all I could think of was "why? I mean... really, why?"

Whatever demons/struggles, his are over now... if only that would be solace for the family. So sad
