Pics of my 07 GT - Suggestions

Here's my 07 GT. I am getting new wheels and I am trying to decide what kind to get and what color. Also I'd like to get 19's or 20's but I'm afraid it'll dramatically change the way it rides. Any suggestions?

Great looking car, some black rims would set that off perfect

Those are nice, I really like the RTR's but the price is a little much

Agreed on both statements, have you looked on americanmuscle.com

I've glanced around but now that I've decided on black I'll be doing a little more looking. What kind of rims do you have?

Some more info on the look you're trying to achieve would help us make recommendations. I think it's best to have a definition of the sort of style you want from your car before you start modding or else you can end up with a car that doesn't flow well.

Do you want a more modern look for your car, or do you want a more classic feel to go with your boss side stripes?

If you want a modern look, I'd go with a black wheel, something like the RTR if you can afford it, or maybe AM's FR500/GT4 in black with a polished lip. or AM's black saleen wheel. Those are all good choices for a modern feel with your color scheme. IF you do go that route, I'd take off the boss stripes, personally.

If you go for the classic feel, you can't beat bullitts, something like a set of staggered or deep dish 18 inch bullitts with black or anthracite finish would look right at home on your car too.

I hadn't even thought about removing the boss stripes but that might be something good to do. I really appreciate the help!

It'd be real easy to photoshop out. Play around with some pictures and find what you like.

The thing with modding mustangs IMO, is they're an easy car to make look good, but they're also an easy car to overdo. Simple is better, as far as I'm concerned.

+1

I think your car looks great as is. I personally love the stock wheels. If I'd have to choose a black wheel, I would go with the bullitts though.

Imo.. The stock 05-09 wheels sink in the whell wells too much, and those wheels also look to small for the 05+ mustangs, and the are not even 9 inches wide.

Here is a pic of my 05 with the 17's

Here is a pic of my 07 with the fan blades, wich still go in the fenders too much.

Here is a pic of my 07 with GT500 18's, wich to me still looked to small for the car, but atleast came out to the wheel wells.

Here is a pic of my car with the 19 inch AM gt500 Wheels, and these wheels anre nice and 10 inches wide and are a nice fit in the wheel wells.

The 17 have larger side wall wich also gives them a ranger truck look.

I really like those 19's, I'm definitely going to check those out. Thanks!

Different strokes. I think those 19" wheels look ridiculous, but then again, I don't like the tricked out look at all. The stock wheels just remind me of an old school Mustang, which is one of the many reasons the 05-09's are my favorite models.

I agree 20" wheels are just complete overkill!

The 19" rims look good on the 2010 and newer Mustangs, but not on the 05-09's. Just my opinion. And those chrome wheels on that lowered silver GT above look horrible IMO. The Mustang isn't a car that's supposed to have blinged out wheels and a lowered ride. Again, just my thoughts. I like adding stuff to my car, but I don't like overhauling the entire look of it.

Personally, I like the look of certain 20s. Like on my car. And with 40 series tires, the ride is still like stock:

But on your silver car, d'prived's car is a perfect example of black center 18" Bullitts:
