Evolution Performance 2013 GT500 First To Run 8’s: Video Inside
There’s no way around it, the 2013 GT500 is a BEAST! With 662hp stock, it’s a solid platform to build upon and Evolution Performance certainly used it to make one bad ride. How bad? Try 1156hp and 1058 lb-ft out of a relatively simple combo. All that thrust moves the 3734-pound (with driver) Mustang to a new record of 8.94 @ 159 mph.
Here are some highlights: L&M Race Engines built motor, Slawko ported heads and intake manifold, a Kenne Bell 3.6LC twin-screw blower, JLT intake, American Racing headers, ATI damper, 205cc injectors and plenty of Sunoco E85-R fuel. A few years ago nobody could have guessed 1000whp Mustangs would be commonplace–welcome to the Golden Era of hot rodding!
