DragNFly Mustang Gets Huge Single Turbo Setup
LS-Swapped DragNFly Mustang Goes Single Turbo!
Knock knock. Who’s there? An LS-swapped Ford mustang. An LS-swapped Ford Mustang who? Okay, okay. I get it. Not funny. It’s just that LS-swapped Mustangs are getting so darn old. Can’t we see a real Ford-powered Mustang around here?
DragNFly Mustang, the Seafoam Green, mean machine you see featured here, is, in fact, another one of those LS-swapped Mustangs. But this one is quite unique in its own right. It features a single, massive turbocharger, instead of the typical twin-turbo setup. As a result, it’s pretty darn fast. But about that…
According to the YouTube description on this clip from 1320video, DragNFly Mustang started its racing career as a twin-turbocharged Mustang. With a requisite LS motor, of course. The owner enjoyed a successful run with that setup, but decided to change things up a bit.
Pay close attention, and you’ll see that the DragNFly Mustang’s new, single 91mm turbo produces a stomping 929 horsepower and 734 lb-ft of torque. Interestingly, that’s considerably less than the 1,300 horsepower it produced before.
What do you think, should he have kept the twin-turbo?
