Bullit Chase Scene Recreated for “Alcatraz”

Fans of cars, movies and car movies know and love the thrilling car chase scene from Steve McQueen’s classic 1968 cop drama Bullit. The gripping Mustang vs Charger sequence is one of the most exciting bits of vehicular awesomeness ever captured on film, and was created long before the days where computer renderings began standing in for actual vehicles and explosions.

Now FOX’s hit TV show Alcatraz has been spied in San Francisco shooting a modern recreation of the famous scene, using the modern recreations of the Ford Mustang and Dodge Charger. We’re told the chase will be part of the season finale, entitled “Tommy Madsen”, where we will finally learn the secret of the mysterious happenings at Alcatraz Island.
