Borla Cat-Back Exhaust for the Mustang GT350
Since it was released, the Voodoo 5.2-liter V8 in the Mustang GT350 has been leaving bystanders in awe with its amazing sound and performance. Its flat-plane crankshaft provides unique auditory stimulation for both the driver and anyone lucky enough to be nearby.
Now, Borla has developed a cat-back exhaust system to add power, improve fuel economy, and unleash even more of that wicked flat-plane sound. Manufactured from T-304 stainless steel, it includes Borla exhaust valves to retain the functionality of Ford’s Selectable Driving Modes.
Borla knows that the factory exhaust setup is a visual knockout, so they were smart not to mess with success. The cat-back exhaust system utilizes the factory exhaust tips to fit in the stock rear valance.
The centerpiece of this exhaust system is the Borla Acoustically Tuned Applied Kinetics (ATAK) mufflers, designed to maximize sound and produce the highest decibel levels possible on a street-legal exhaust system.
The stock car’s exhaust note is unmistakable, even from a distance. Riding my motorcycle a few weeks ago, I heard that familiar sound even over my own exhaust. I turned my head to see a blue GT350 having a bit of fun on the freeway on-ramp I had passed almost a quarter-mile prior. It’ll be interesting to hear how this system sounds in person — I predict quite a few angry neighbors, and lots of grinning GT350 owners. For now, check out the video below.
