Beater Mustang Destroys All Comers at Drag Strip
What’s better than seeing a turbocharged Fox Body tear down the drag strip? Well, if you are like me, it’s seeing one that looks like a completely battered and neglected sleeper dominate an entire night’s worth of racing. This sad little Mustang is named “Beater Bomb,” and it’s quite a sight. Faded paint, chips, and dents cover this rad little car, but you should never judge a book by its cover and all that. When the lights go out, this Mustang is the fastest thing around, and we have the video footage below to prove it.
In this No-Prep race series, Beater Bomb was doing double duty in Drag Radial and Small Tire classes, but that didn’t stop it from going home a victor. It beat every challenger it faced in the Drag Radial series, including a fully prepped Camaro with 1000 horsepower. I don’t know how much power it’s making, but the car was constantly breaking traction, even halfway down the strip, and the owner has some serious driving skills to keep that thing in a straight line.
