MRT Supercharged S197 Mustang Has A Secret Under The Hood

MRT is no stranger to Mustang performance and jaw-dropping builds. This past SEMA they simply blew everyone away with their Orange Crush Mustang. Of course the big wheels, nice kit and tall wing were bold, but that wasn’t the point of admiration for most. It even wasn’t the super sano roll cage, the tidy interior or its slammed stance. Nope.Instead, it was the high-spinning 3.7-liter V6 under the hood force-fed by a Vortech blower that opened people’s eyes. Yes folks, even a V6 Mustang can be cool.

But what was the motivation behind the blown V6? The car is autocrossed and open-tracked so the lack of weight up front was a huge bonus and en lieu of tire spinning torque the injected some high-rpm power!
