Mustangs ‘Drift’ into Race Service Garage’s New ‘Hangtime’ Promo
What happens when you put Mustang drift champs and off-roading phenoms on a track in L.A.? Mayhem.
Nitto and YouTubers Driving Line are currently on set in Southern California for a brand-new project named “Hangtime,” set to debut October 18, at Race Service Garage in Los Angeles. And by the look of this teaser, things are about to get really crazy.
Pro drifters Vaughn Gittin Jr., Matt Powers and Chelsea DeNofa, along with Jeep off-roading champs Casey and Cody Currie, make an appearance in what looks to be a massive Mustang/Jeep drift session in an L.A. parking lot. Or is it a competition? With Casey Currie’s famous “Hammer Jeep” valiantly vaulting over Gittin Jr.’s prized drift monster, we also suspect there will be some asphalt-pounding stunts to behold as well. Since all of these guys have long established themselves as giants in their craft, this is sure to be one action-packed production.
Gittin Jr. has been on an proliferation kick lately, recently performing a mind-blowing shred session on the Nurburgring track—all 12.9 miles of it. His partner in crime DeNofa has been pretty busy, too. He recently became a top qualifier in the Formula Drfit Irwindale 2018 at the Irwindale Speedway, helping his team take home the gold.
Nitto has a long history with sports vehicles, and a particularly special history with Mustangs. So, it is especially refreshing to see a motorsport crossover of epic proportions come to life like this. Looking forward to seeing the “Hangtime” premiere on Oct. 18.
