From rare Shelby Mustang examples to wild customs and vintage dragsters, seventh annual event on Oct. 7 will have it all.

The Galpin Car Show might only be barely seven years old but it’s quickly grown into one of Southern California’s premier events for automotive enthusiasts. And even though the gathering is open to all makes and models, the venerable Ford Mustang always dominates the scene. This year’s event, taking place October 7 at Galpin Motors in North Hills, promises to be no exception to that rule.

For starters, the perennial world’s largest Ford dealer by volume is rolling out its impressive Premier Collection of cars for the public’s perusal. Included in that lineup are a number of vintage Shelby Mustang examples, including some particularly rare ones. You’ll also be able to lay eyes on Gary Weckesser’s crazy 4-engine Mustang drag car in the flesh. A nice 1968 Mustang Bullitt replica rounds out the impressive lineup.

And that’s just the cars that Galpin themselves will have on display. If 2018 is anything like prior years, Mustang fans have a lot to be excited for. Countless rare and custom Mustangs show up by the dozens each year. Filling Galpin’s lot with loads of pony eye candy. Even though the show is open to all makes and models, this dominance continues.

The Galpin Car Show has become such a celebrated event that you’ll undoubtedly see quite a few celebrities (and their cars) as well. Jay Leno himself rolled in last year, to name one. Throw in some live entertainment, tasty grub, and kid’s carnival rides, and you’ve got the makings of one excellent Sunday morning. If all of that sounds like your idea of a great time, you can find more information here!
