2015 Mustang Tech: Burnout Control Good, Domino’s Pizza Ordering Bad

Burnout Control and Pizza
Over the past month, the automotive world has been buzzing with rumors as to how good the 2015 Ford Mustang will be, however let’s not discount how outstanding the outgoing model is. The S197 is the Mustang that brought a whole new group of enthusiasts back into the Mustang fold – myself included. It makes great power, was beautifully designed and with great handling out the box, is one the best automotive bargains out there.

In regards to the new car; we know the 5.0L V8 is back and that a turbo 4-banger will be there as well, but it’s the oddball rumors going around that truly have me perplexed. First let’s address the one I’m most excited about, that being, burnout control.

The Blue Oval has all but confirmed there’s a line lock-style system in the Mustang, and I’ll be the first to recognize this may be the best thing. Ever. Think about hitting a factory installed button, locking the front binders and roasting the back tires at will. Every time this feature is used, a nest of Bald Eagle eggs will hatch, guaranteed. People, if this doesn’t tell you that Ford isn’t looking for enthusiast love, I don’t know what will.

On the other side of the fence is this:

“Available soon, Domino’s customers who have a registered Pizza Profile on their Domino’s mobile app, as well as the Ford SYNC® AppLink™ in-car connectivity system, will be able to use that combination to place their saved Easy Order™ in just a few simple, voice-activated steps.”

Really? A mobile pizza app for use with SYNC®? I have no idea if Ford knows this yet, but they just made Jeremy Clarkson’s year.
