How Ford Made the 2015 Mustang – Part One
When it comes to the making of the 2015 Mustang, just saying that it was monumental doesn’t really do it justice.
Launching a new version of a car that’s held as one of America’s most beloved icons is difficult enough, but to do so in the midst of the vehicle celebrating its 50th Anniversary is an even more impressive feat. And the fact that Ford has done so while also successfully launching an all-new turbo boost engine and a new Shelby GT350, well this may likely go down as one of Ford’s most historical periods to date.
Realizing the significance of the project, Ford spent considerable time recording the painstaking development process that went into developing the S550, according to a recent Road and Track report.
Now, those videos are being released in a series of shorts, which promise to give fans a completely different appreciation for the car. That’s certainly the case with the first video, shown below, which focuses on the history of the Mustang and how that storied past has influenced the new exterior design.
