2013 Mustang Cobra Hits 217 mph at Texas Mile

If you’ve got a thing for hearing high-powered Mustangs roaring on the track, then you’ll certainly get a treat out of this one.

The video, posted by GearHeadFlicks, features Derek Venable in his 2013 1,000-rwhp GT500 Cobra blowing through 200-plus-mph runs during the recent Texas Mile weekend.

To be exact, Venable posted speeds of 205, 203, 202, 211 and 217 mph on his very last take at the track in his Mustang Cobra, which is why some die-hard fans still consider the S-197 one of the baddest Mustangs ever.
