Hey John,
the tires I have are:
285/35/R19 in the rear
255/40/R19 in the front

I have them mounted on 19x8.5 front wheels and 19X9.5 rear wheels. They fit really nice.
My wheels are TSW Nurburgring.

Hope this helps?!

Best regards,
Pascal

Nice so you did do the 255/40s right? Where are the Cooper/MTs made?

Pascal, thanks for the info! I’m taking a good hard look at the MT street comps in size 255/45/18 for my 8.5 x 18 wheels.

Patrick, I don't know about the other Cooper/MT tires as I'm currently running the Cooper RS3-A tires (UHP all season) and they are made in CHINA. Sounds scary, but they have performed just fine and I would rate them as an upgrade compared to the stock Pirellis. After going FI, the RS3-A tires are no longer up to the task, as they spin too easy.

Bah, guess I'm still saving up for Michelins then. Lol sorry, it's disappointing when Cooper and Mickey Thompson are/were both American companies. Are there any American made tires anymore? Are Goodyear even?

The BFGoodrich g-force sport comp-2 is made in the US. Had those on my Focus and loved them.

Yes, correct 255/40. I'm not sure where they were made. Dumb question will they say on the tire where they were manufactured?

We had those on my mom's Focus too. And then I just had my buddy get them for his Charger. It is a good tire.

They just don't make them in sizes big enough that I want to run. 275/40/20 is the biggest they offer

BF Goodrich are great tires. Last I heard they are owned by Michelin.

Go figure..

Bringing this thread back from the dead. I'm currently running MPSS 265/35 and 305/30 on 20x9/10.5 Centerline MM1s. They're rubbing on my fenders and I'm bagging the car soon, so the fenders would sit right on the tire. Looking at downsizing the tires and decided on the BFG Comp 2s, which I've had before and liked.

I go to America's Tire to place my order for 255/35 and 275/35, and they're pretty much out of stock everywhere. BFG is discontinuing the line and pushing the new Comp A/S, which I don't want. I remembered the Coopers, which our 2015 Focus SE came with stock, but the All-Season version. I have been thoroughly impressed with these as a nice all around tire, at least for the Focus. I was still hesitant to put Chinese made tires on my car though, even if the wheels are made in China too lol.

Well, look at my previous posts in this thread. I also found this article, which was eye-opening:

http://m.motortrend.com/features/con...ires_zeon_rs3/

I'm probably going to order the Coopers tomorrow, once I know for sure they can't get the BFGs anymore. Both sets are EXACTLY the same price through America's Tires, to the cent - $833.13. I figure I can sell the MPSS for a decent amount and make back most of that. It's just funny that I'm here putting Chinese made, American brand tires on my Chinese made, American brand wheels.

I miss them Coopers RS3-As.

I hadda have them 2010 GT500 'vert wheels, and now... oh well.

Gonna actually try the Tiger Paws when the GMAX's wear out... they're getting rather incredible reviews, near as I can see.

But there'll never be tires like them RS3-As. Man. I can't even imagine how good Awesome'd be with those in the right sizes...

Haha I remember your posts on the A's and read them here again. The Tiger Paws are Uniroyal right?

Yep. When you have 275/40-18s, or even go with the 255/45-18 front and 285/40-18s in back, your choices become somewhat limited.

I could get the 275s in the Cooper RSA3-S, but I don't want to chance my DD on cold -S in the winter, even in Houston. Or limit my travelin' abilities if I decide to go North or Northwest, for some reason.

So All Seasons are the ones to get. And to be honest, I'm not unhappy with the GMAXs, except the noise.

And I was going to accept I'd have to get the Goodyear F1s, which I really didn't wanna, but they're not outside of price okness... and then I discovered that after a year, the Tiger Paw in the class was getting some seriously good reviews no matter where I found them. And not on slouch cars either. Corvettes, Bimmers, and Mustangs, among the list. Or something along those lines, in line with the GTs of our Mustangs, anyway. So if that's the case... maybe they're worth a look when the GMAXs wear out.

GMAXs are only about 1/2 way done, at that, and so I got quite a few whiles yet to worry about it, so until then...

... I'll still miss them Coopers. Le sigh.

I ordered the Coopers today. They never got back to me on the rear BFGs, but whatever, the Coopers got better reviews anyways.

I hear ya, as I was looking at 18x10 wheels all around too, and 275/40/18 was what I was going to get.

Like my RS3-S Coopers. Got about 9700 miles on them. They are very sticky and handle well. Not too noisy and ride nice for a HP tire. This despite being made in China. I am running 275/35/20 on all 4 with 20x9.5 rims.

I think you will like them...

I think I will too. If they're good enough for Roush to put on their supercharged cars (like you and others here have), they should be fine for my bolt on GT. I mean, I do like my MPSS too, but they run wide and my offset is too aggressive in the rear to properly utilize them

Same here. I love them.
For an ultra high performance tire, they do perform rather well.

FYI... My Roush is a non-Supercharged model... Don't want to mislead anyone. I have the Suspension and looks, but its a GT under the Hood. Did add the Trackey tune, but other than that...

But I know what you mean.
