I have heard the Hushpowers in person and they sound great. Much louder and angry than the Borla S but if that's what you want. I have been convinced that the GT 500's or the Borla S is what I need to get. Check this out.

Hard to argue with this once you hear it through some nice speakers or in person.

If she wants it loud i would say go with the SLP,s. for now.Eventually headers and mid pipes with those slp,s and your gonna have a very loud exhaust, since thats what you want.

I have flowmaster 40 series with bbk header personally I love them nice sound loud at a idle and loud when your digging in it but mellow down for the normal driving. Just my 2 cents

You have the 4.6 I don't so that really wouldn't sound the same on a 5.0. Though I want it loud as I said. Straight through muffler for me.

my advice meet other 5.0 owners and listen to them before buying them.
if worried if you will like the sound install dhm cutouts, I had them on my srt8 challenger and might do them on this car

I went to an exhaust shop aka meineke to get a quote on install of different mufflers for my car. At the end they tried to say the incinerator mufflers were good but I know nothing about them. Do any of you guys/girls know if they are good or not? I don't know if they even make incinerator mufflers for my car or not the shop just said I should get them.

Where are the alignment tabs? Just installed the GT500 exhaust and didn't see them

They are little plastic tabs in the box somewhere. They hook between a stud on the over axle and a stud on the muffler inlet. They were there to speed assembly on the line. I didn't use them but, they were there.

AM has them for 309 last I looked and I had $50 off for writing an install guide for them for something. Deal of the century in a new axleback, in my view. My view is get the sound you want from the mufflers b/c you can always add volume later, if you really need it. The GT500s sound sweet as is, need more volume it's reso out, catless H or longtubes, there ya go. Can't take the rasp out of Roush or the drone out of Flowmasters later.

40 series flow masters would sound even better on a 5.0 in my opinion I run them on chevy with the 5.3 and my stang. I like how there not so loud while driving you can't hear yourself think.

American Muscle + Forum discount. You just need to PM someone, AMDanBailer(sp?) maybe, to get the discount code. I believe the one here is for 6% off. I have a different one for 5% off just haven't bothered since it's only 1% difference.

It amazes me that no one ever talks about stainless steel works, I have had their catback on both my '11 5.0 and now on my '12 GT500 and I am always getting compliments and questions about what is done to the car because it sounds modded. Before anyone mentions it yes they are expensive but it's a full catback system
