Ordered on Janaury 21st, Finally got it today!

I finally got my 5.0 today. I ordered on 1/21/10 and it was built on 4/15/10.
As others have said, it has such smooth power delivery.

The shifter is great too. I have the 400A interior, but I bought the 401A Aluminum shifter **** and boot and had them put it on.

I did have skip-shift engage once today after accelerating slowly from a stop sign. It slid smoothly into 4th, I noticed the message on the dash and the RPM's go way down, but it didn't' bog, it wasn't too bad.

Here are a few pictures.

Man that is beautiful! I like how you skirted the 401A but still ended up with the shifter, which is my favorite part of my 401A.

Beautiful. Good call on the shifter too. Along with the aluminum dash it's a favorite as well.

Geezus, 6 months for delivery, I'd of asked Ford (or the dealer cuz it seems they F-ed up and didn't order your car right away) for a few extra grand off.
That's ridiculus for it to take that long.
Hand built Ferrari's don't take that long, actually you could probably order a Veyron and get it in less than 6 months. LOL

But she looks hot in the red dress. Now time to get you some new clothes to match.

Wow. Glad you got your car finally!!

You may have the record for longest wait.

I think that one deserves an explanation. Was any given?

Very nice, what did the shifter and boot cost ya? Straight from ford? Couldn't find it on their parts page but i'm probably looking in the wrong place.

Again, very nice!

Thanks all for the complements.

If it weren't for this forum I never would have know that you needed the 401A package to get the aluminum ball shifter. I would have been very disappointed when I took delivery and would have had to order the parts that day. This forum is such a great source of information.

I have been told by my salesman that a Ford guy from Michigan that I complained to about waiting so long is going to contact me and offer me some sort of package. He didn't have any details, but I figure it must be something like free oil changes or something, maybe an extended warranty, I'll have to wait and find out.

FritzOSU03, hopefully you get your car today. I'll tune in here later to take a look.

Congrats on the car, bro! I see you reside in NJ... may I ask the name of the dealership you used?

Nice looking car!

Keep an eye out for that guy standing next to the car, it looks like he thinks he owns it...

Nice pics of the interior. Feel free to post some more interior shots.

PUSH them for something for the wait! That is WAY TOO LONG!

As requested, here are some more shots of the interior.

I don't have a very good camera and some of the shots didn't come out too good, but I have a variety of shots showing some of the details you wound'nt see in brochure pictures.

Pictures 8 and 9 show my sunvisors. I took the warning labels off. I'm going to see if someone at the dry cleaners might be able to get the residue off, I have some connections. Also, these label are different from the ones from my 2000 and 2005 Mustangs. The olds ones would transfer onto a damp white t-shirt with an iron, but these wouldn't. I just had to get them hot and slowly peal them off. I know there is a way to get them perfect. Maybe I'll even get them re-upholstered.
