I went with a base GT 300A with only 2 options: GT Track Pack and Recaro seats. My car is a weekend road course warrior, and I like to come close to 1g cornering load on clover ramps.

To me that's the perfect combination. I specifically did not want sync.

This is a smart idea if you're going to track. I got sucked in by the toys, leather, etc., but a part of me wishes I'd gone a little more spartan.

My Track Pack came with the Torsen and 3.73's plus all the stuff listed above and the 2012 and lower GT500 LCA's which are still garbage compared to the aftermarket. I went minimalist as well. I got all the important stuff. 301A, cloth Recaros, Track Pack.

Oh, and we are special. Mine is 1 of less than 700 in this combo for 2013.

Yes my twin!

I think this is the perfect car, especially with my new suspension parts installed.
My car went from good, to animal around corners!
And this is my daily driver, comuter!

Nice! Glad to hear your set up is working well for you. I plan on doing the exact same thing this time next year!

Minor sidetrack --

Do you guys know if there was a track pack car in 2012 ; and if so, what did it have?

I am holding out for a '12 because I like the front end design better than the 13+ cars, wondering if I should look for a track pack car

I have 10,000 abusive miles on my Goodyears and they still have
good tread depth.

Mine lasted 23-24K miles, some hard driving but no track time.

And that's all for the 2012, right? There was discussion of other stuff in the thread but I couldn't quite follow all of it, just being lazy / checking . . . sounds like a pretty good starting point for a street and road track car.

Yes the parts list is identical.
TP cars add a Boss radiator w/oil cooler and the Torsen differential w/3.73's.
