Stripe Opinions

What would you guys do? I've thought about red super snake style with red rocker stripes and keeping the pit stripes.
I've also thought about the matte black or reflective stripes, but I think it'd be too dull.
Silver is also good, but it would have to look really good. I just get bored of black and silver.
Thought about grabber blue or yellow or greeb and they might be too different.
I'm also very fascinated with the roush two color stripes.

Let me know what you think or have seen. I'll post pictures of my car and other cars for ideas. Here's mine...

Here's some I've had on my phone as ideas...

The middle one is a bad bad paint session I did on my phone. It makes it look like there's way too much red. But if you can imagine it I think it'd look really nice!

The last one is a Shelby gt with the silver stripes and red pit stripe. I think it looks really nice even though it's two colors.

I wanna stay with red, but my interior is black and light grey. No red in it at all. I might add some red touches though...

And this one for fun. I'm really loving the hood matte black.

And another idea I've really liked. It's a 13 but it's as close to my car as I could get. This would probably play in nicely with the sides of the cowl hood

Another one I made this afternoon. Still a lot of red, but I think I'm in love. Before I drew the stripes on the bumper I left them just on the hood, and it looked good but this looks better and more complete IMO

This is definitely not as boring as I thought.

That Shelby looks awesome. If your car's a manual, you could add a red shifter handle.

No manual. But I could have some of the console painted and maybe add some red and black to the seats

my 69 has black highback buckets with a red stripe- looks right at home, and I saw someone was making replicas for s197s...comfortweave vinyl was awesome, the repros I saw were just perforated- sooner or later I hope the comfortweave returns- a great seat material.

I had another stripe idea years back- even bought a roll of black reflective, but never got around to cutting it, and my darned cat found the rolled up cad plotted pattern I made, and ripped it to shreds... anyway if youre looking for ideas... the first rough chop was just to rough out the lines, the second pic was just a masking tape stripe layout to get the dimensions off of, but you can see how I was going to roll the back upwards to the wing...dunno how it might look black on black, but red on black would be different

I've definitely thought of something like this... Maybe a little bit higher up but it would play perfectly off my gt500 wing. Lemme find a pic...

Edit: I really like how this one comes off the hood

Something like that would be really nice. I really want to go the carbon fiber route, but I don't have any other carbon fiber stuff on my car. Plus it's a convertible. I think I want to keep it looking more nice than racey.

So one super snake stripe down the hood with out anything else... Lemme see...

I've always been a fan of ghosted stripes or matte strips on black

You've mentioned red stripes or silver stripes. How about red and silver stripes? Like the SS stripe with the middle red and the little ones on the outside silver.

But I'm a bit biased. I never did care much for red stripes on black cars until I saw mine with the silver highlights and I fell in love with it.

Maybe do a chop like the one you have above Super Snake stripe with, Race Red center stripe, Ingot Silver stripes on each side of it, and no stripes down the sides.

06BlackVertStang, your car is oh so beautiful just the way it is, I couldn't imagine changing it.

I apologize for not being of any help in regards to this matter.

The beautiful thing with vinyl stripping is you can change the look whenever you feel. I went stock stripe, stripe-less, Gran touring on fender, dual rally, center SS, then add side rocker ............. every year i change it !!!

Bottom line is, whatever you choose, those mustang really look great with stripes !!

Haha hey thanks for the help guys. And that is the beauty of vinyl. I love it. I just wanna make sure I get something that wont be over done. I like flashy but I don't want too much.

Rather b blown- I have considered this one too and I absolutely love the way an outline makes stripes pop. I'll see what I can do today if I have time. It would be about the same width as the super snake stripe too! Thanks for the input

Bill - at least I can count on you to always chime in with a compliment haha! Thanks again. I really appreciate it.

I didn't necessarily mean the same style stripes as mine, just posted the pics of mine for color reference of how red/silver looks on black.

What I was wondering was how it would look with stripes like this pic you posted, nothing down the sides of the car, just the SS over the top....

but leave the wide red stripe down the center, but change the narrow stripes on each side of it to silver, especially with the polished wheels. I think the silver would play off of those as well.
