YouTuber Arrested After Streaming 185 MPH Shelby Mustang Joyride

We consider this foolishness to be DWI: Driving While Ignorant.

A Mississippi couple was arrested recently after live streaming a YouTube Live video of their 2017 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 going 185 mph on a Jackson highway. Now, we understand that a Mustang certainly inspires the desire to put the hammer down. But hitting such high speeds on a highway where you can endanger other drivers is just stupid. And livestreaming the entire thing? Even stupider. This story might just be a trifecta of stupid.

The man behind the wheel is Beau Alan Rogel, a self-described You Tube “celebrity.” Rogel and his wife Christina Ann Rogel post a number of videos on their YouTube channel jussa xlt that show some pretty questionable behavior. Mainly speeding, burnouts, and dead stops. However most of these are done on public roads and highways.

Continuing with the theme of questionable antics, the Rogels posted this video live. In the video, Beau is accelerating and calling out the speed.

“80…90…100…110…120…130…140…150…160…170…175…180…185!” He brags as he flies down the highway. However, there are other cars that are unwilling participants in the Rogels attempts to hit top speeds and get more clicks.

Three Rankin County Deputies pull him over after someone watching the livestream called 911. Beau says “Christina, get your bail money ready.”

Once law enforcement starts questioning him, he immediately starts denying the allegations. Shockingly, the police actually let him go with a warning.

But the Rogels were not in the clear just yet. Once police checked out the video, they had a number of issues. Not only was Beau clearly breaking the law, but he had a number of other videos on his channel that shows him with firearms. As a convicted felon, a search warrant was issued. When police went to arrest him Beau was out. But his wife was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest as she attempted to stop deputies from executing the search warrant.

Beau showed up while police were arresting his wife and he was also taken into custody, charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon as well as reckless driving.

The Shelby Mustang was seized to get data from the onboard computer. Christina has since updated their YouTube with a video of her picking the Mustang up from impound.

In news that will shock no one, the Rogels have set up a Go Fund Me page to help with their legal defense.

So the moral of the story is 1. Don’t drive like a moron. 2. Don’t film yourself driving like a moron. 3. Don’t livestream yourself driving like a moron.

Just, don’t.
