Who says only the Coyote motor spins to 8000 RPM? SBF power inside

I’ll be the first to admit that I love the new Coyote and Road Runner 5.0L motors because they spin to the moon and make serious power, but I’m also a sucker for good ol’ pushrod power, especially a high RPM monster like this one.
There’s something to be said for an old school SBF motor that spins north of 7000 RPM, in this case, 8000 RPM! The stock block 306 is running a Camshaft Innovations solid-roller bump stick that’s likely gargantuan! According to another one of his videos, it’s a stock block 306 with 12.5:1 compression, a TrickFlow Box-R intake manifold, TrickFlow Fast-As-Cast heads, BBK longtubes, 4.56 rear gears and a G-Force T5 with straight-cut gears. The combo obviously works, as it’s reportedly been a best of 6.9 @ 102 mph in the 1/8th mile–that’s cookin’ for an all-motor (naturally aspirated) 306 SBF!

Turn up your speakers, this sucker screams!
