Thought you guys might want to know. I'm considering picking up a set. They now have 19x8.5 and 19x10 sizes

Also, the will the tires that come on the brembo pkg fit well on a 19x8.5 rim? (stock brembo pkg rims are 19x9)

It looks that way because these are finished differently. These are black machined

See

Real

Fake

If the replicas did not have all the black, they would look spot on IMO

You think they had to add that to avoid copyright infringement?

I believe 255's is the stock tires size for the BBP. They should fit fine on an 8.5" wheel but that's the widest you can go. I would not recommend putting 255's on a 10" wheels, lol

The spokes on the AM wheels are flat on the sides; the OEM wheels are angled, and this is why the knockoffs look thin.

I'm surprised they didn't make the 19x10 and 18x10 in a +40 or +38 offset so you could use them in the front too

I think the factory '10 GT500 rims are my favorite wheels of all time. Even better than the SN95 Cobra R's, which we've all seen a million times now but we're oh so awesome at the time and are still awesome. Loved the Bullitts too, on the Bullitt. I love the Mach 1's as well, especially since they're not all that common.

I've read some really poor reviews on replica wheels, I'm not sure I would go that route despite the tempting prices. (...and I don't have to since picking up a set of local '07 GT500 take-offs, hee-hee) I'm interested in reading your opinions on replica wheels...

Me too. Anybody have experience with AM wheels?

Obviously the factory rims are a lot better in quality as they are forged, which is why they are so expensive. And I agree Kev I think these are best looking OEM wheels for the stang.

The spokes on the replicas are uniform in thickness. The real ones are tapered thicker on the inside of the wheel.

The GT500 wheels do look better, although the should have been at least 10.5 inches in width. IMO, anything smaller than a 305 is made for smoke, not traction on the Shelby.
