Magnum 500 Wheel Center Caps

I searched around and am having trouble fnding the center caps for the Magnum 500 wheels. I thought I remembered a thread a long time ago about someone who found some. I have the wheels now with just the black caps, but would really like a pony for something else.

Does anyone know where they can be found?

Here you go. Sticks right to the center of the existing cap.

Not to threadjack.. but what grille is that? I have been looking to do some tributes to the late '60's Mach1, and have been looking everywhere for the straight line grille with foghlight housings not just an overlay.

Hmmm, I actually forgot. I'll have to dig up the paperwork when I get home. I had a thread on this, but I guess it got lost. I did use a real 1969 repro of the grill emblem. It fit very snug, but it did fit.

But to note, it is a 3-piece grill overlay. I made sure I shaved the OEM pony down and got the overlay grill to laydown real tight to the factory grill. I did a lot of searching and asking an no one makes a GT version of the straight bar grill with foglights that is not an overlay. I got mine this summer, so there may be something new out now, but I am happy with this one.

Man, imo your car just stands out as one of the better efforts. Lots of little detail touches and great choice of color and wheels. Nice job.

Nice Job Kluski
Liking the wheels & grill as well.

I wasn't crazy about the plain black center caps on the Magnum 500 replicas either.
I modified the 05-09 Tri-Bar Pony center caps for mine.

Thanks, that means alot. I took a lot of time deciding between different parts. I have been extremely happy with my choices so far. Everytime I go to get in the car I just smile when I look at it as I walk up.

Thanks - I do like you caps as well. I like it when people do custom work for their car. Makes them stand out that much more.

Thanks for the idea Kluski! I'll have to pick up a spare GT grill and get an overlay.

I love how your car looks and you actually have a couple of stylign cues I have planned for my own. Which helps me a lot to see how good it will look when done.

Great job!

I used the factory 05-10 Pony Center Caps + duct tape. Tried a few different center caps & none fit, so I improvised
Have been on for over a year now & haven't had any problems.

Glad this came up. I just put Magnum 500's on my car, and the caps have "SR" on them, which looks horrible in my opinion. I just ordered the pony cap covers.

FYI for anyone looking at these. They are a smaller diameter than the center cap. I ordered them and found out the hard way.

I saw those and wondered if they were the same size. Never ordered them, but glad I know now. I do have a set of OEM pony center caps from the OEM wheels. Maybe I'll get adventurous and make some myself.

I'm not sure I am following you. Are you telling me you know someone selling a set of caps with the SR logo on the? If so, that's what I have and am trying to replace.

I to ordered the Magnum 500 wheels with the Black Center Cap. I was going to do the new cap with the tri bar but decided on the decals from Mustang Unlimited . Let me know what you think.

I'm usually not a fan of modded Mustangs, but yours is very, very nicely done.
