Post-apocalyptic Quadra Mustang From Cyberpunk 2077 Comes to Life

Quadra Mustang from highly anticipated game Cyberpunk 2077 looks like it came from the post-apocalyptic future.

With the highly anticipated video game Cyberpunk 2077 on the way, developer CD Projekt Red wanted to conjure up something special to mark the occasion. So it teamed up with Rockstar Energy and its in-house shop, Rockstar Performance Garage, to build a real-life replica of one of the game’s coolest vehicles – the Quadra Mustang.

The build started off with a stock 1970 Ford Mustang, which was then treated to the post-apocalyptic look courtesy of some extensive bodywork. Most every panel was replaced with carbon fiber pieces from Anvil Auto, while T-Rex Grilles provided the custom piece up front bearing the Quadra name and covering the headlights.

Rounding out the futuristic look is a set of fog and reverse lights from Baja Designs. Irwindale Collision and DH Graphics laid down the black and yellow paint job, which is perfectly complemented by a set of set of black-painted Rotiform wheels wrapped in Mickey Thompson rubber.

Under the hood, the Quadra Mustang retains its original 302 V8, which is mostly stock. But Rockstar did add fuel injection to the mix, along with a pair of 3.0-inch K&N air filters, Magnaflow dual exhaust, and a Mishimoto cooling system.

The suspension of this classic Mustang has also received a few modern updates. They include a Ridetech coilover setup, R1 Concepts disc brakes at all four corners, and a Ford 9-inch rear end.

Of course, Rockstar couldn’t do all of that and not address the interior. And when you step inside the Quadra Mustang’s cabin, you’ll notice a host of upgrades including custom seats, loads of carbon fiber trim, a custom steering wheel and gauge cluster, and a Kicker stereo system.

Add it all up, and you’ve got one killer looking Mustang that seems like it just arrived here from the post-apocalyptic future. But the best news is, one lucky person is going to get the chance to bring this bad boy home. To enter the contest, all you have to do is submit the code found under each tab of Cyberpunk 2077-themed Rockstar Energy drink cans at the official contest website. And even if you don’t win the car itself, there are a host of other cool prizes up for grabs, too.
