More than 13,000 Aussies Interested in New Mustang

By the time I’ve figured out how to pull off saying “Mustang” with an Australian accent, I’m betting there’ll be a few more Aussies lining up to buy the new Ford pony car.

Come to think about it, I’m pretty sure of it after trying it out on a few colleagues, and considering how many people from the land down under have already been requesting info on the car.

So far, Ford has already received interest from 13,000 prospective buyers in Australia as the carmaker revs up to launch a right-hand-drive version of the Mustang next year, according to a Drive.com news report, which is what prompted me to try the accent thing.

The Australians’ interest in Mustang, however, really shouldn’t come as a surprise considering the history the Ford pony car has had in the country with a network of Australian-based Mustang clubs.

Still, I’d much rather be an American-based fan of the car. After all, we’ll be getting it first.
