In what will surely be one many items rolling out to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Mustang, Ford Merchandise has unveiled a limited-edition watch commemorating the major milestone of the pony car.

Built and engineered in Detroit by Shinola, the watch features a dome mag at the 3:00 date position and the iconic Mustang logo on the watch dial and crown. The collector’s timepiece is driven by a hand-assembled engine made form nearly four dozen Swiss-made parts.

The Mustang watch also features a stainless steel case with rotating topring and an individually numbered case back plate that reads “Built in Detroit.” Fitting, considering the Ford pony car’s longstanding ties to the Motor City. The device’s strap is made from premium black leather sewn in Ste. Genevieve, Missouri using American-made Horween leather.

This wearable piece of Mustang history will set you back $700.  But with only 1000 of them manufactured it could prove to be quite a collector’s item down the road.
