Turn Heads in this Wonderful 1968 GT Convertible

Seeing classic Mustangs which look as though they've just rolled off the production line is amazing. But, equally as brilliant is seeing a 51-year-old car which you know has given its owner thousands of happy miles behind the wheel.

A Real Ride

It doesn't take long to see that this 1968 Mustang GT convertible has seen a fair amount of usage: it's covered an estimated 71,305 miles. But, at the same time, it's been loved and is still in fantastic condition. True car enthusiasts will appreciate the fact that this model's owners had many, many happy miles behind the wheel.

New Top

Seeing a car age naturally and gracefully, as this model has, is great but some parts will eventually need to be replaced. This Mustang's previous owner fitted a brand new convertible top, and it looks fantastic!

New Interior

Another area which degrades after a lot of use and eventually needs to be replaced is a car's interior. Thankfully, this model recently received a new interior which blends into this Mustang's aesthetic perfectly.

A Classic Motor

Propelling this Mustang is a 302ci engine with a roller camshaft. Back in 1968, this unit would have pumped out around 230 horsepower which is enough to make this car enjoyable, even by today's standards.

Transmission

Ensuring this model's power gets to the road smoothly is a 5-speed manual transmission. Shifting up and down through the gearbox keeps the driver involved in the ride, and is a truly special experience in a classic car such as this.

Smooth Ride

After over 70,000 miles of road use, suspension components can fail. This Mustang's previous owner just replaced the front suspension, so it handles and rides as well as you could hope for from a 1960's muscle car.

Style

The white on red paint job will always look spectacular on a classic Mustang. And, once the top is down, you can see that this color scheme is carried right the way through the interior. This model screams classic 60's style.
