Leaked 2018 Optional Package Details for the New Mustang

1. EcoBoost Premium Pony Package

The Pony Package brings a retro-look to the EcoBoost Premium Mustang that we've all fallen in love with. Chrome accents include the legendary corral around the pony on the grille that was used in the 1960's, and chrome surrounds on the windows. If you choose this package, your Mustang will also feature some other retro touches, like black or white side stripes, the tri-bar pony logo on the back, and 10 spoke 19-inch polished alloy wheels.

2. EcoBoost Wheel and Stripe

The EcoBoost Wheel and Stripe package includes a newly designed set of wheels, and tape stripes accenting the fenders. The simple, open design wheels feature 10 spokes, and appear alloy with black accents. The fender stripes will probably vary in color depending on the exterior paint color chosen, but we do know it will be visually pleasing. This is a great way to jazz up a base model EcoBoost Mustang.

3. EcoBoost Performance Package

The EcoBoost Performance Package will feature 19 inch wheels and a trunk-spoiler, at least on the fastback. As for the actual performance part, the package will include unique chassis tuning, special ABS programming, as well as performance-calibrated stability control. This package should also include a bigger radiator and other added cooling for track duty. So if you're a fan of the track day, this package could come in handy.

4. GT Performance Package

For the fans of V8 power, the GT Performance Package will come with a unique front air splitter, Brembo 6-piston front calipers, clamping larger brake rotors. Just like the EcoBoost version, this one should have ABS and stability control programmed for performance driving, and stiffer suspension with bigger sway bars. The instrumental panel will feature an extra gauge pack for oil pressure and vacuum, and expect added cooling for the motor from a bigger radiator.

5. Black Accent Package

Are you a Ninja? The Black Accent Package puts ebony accents on some of the parts to make for a dark, sleek look, and eliminates nearly all of the chrome. This package includes blacked-out 19-inch wheels, rear spoiler, emblems, and grille, and a black roof. Of course, applied to a red car it voids all the stealth aspects of it, but if we showed it to you on a black or grey car you can hardly see the difference.
