Eleanor? Is That You?

Appropriately located in Tinseltown, Fusion Motor Company are the only licensed builders of replica Eleanor cars from the movie Gone in 60 Seconds. These guys take 1967 and '68 fastback Mustangs and go to work, refreshing and rebuilding every part of the cars to give them insane levels of performance and modern feel. Your custom Eleanor would cost somewhere between $190K to $285K, depending on options and personalizations of your choosing. But we assure you, the finished product will be well worth the price tag.

Can it Fly?

Fusion builds its signature GT500 with a variety of options for the power plant. The Eleanor replica comes with either a Roush 5.0 Coyote or a 427. The naturally aspirated version of the Coyote engine is the base option and it produces 430HP. Their range of power units is topped by the supercharged fuel injected Roush engine with a whopping 750HP! Worry not, though, our good friends at Fusion manufacture these mean machines to manage the crazy power.

Built to Perform

Eleanor comes equipped with Tremec manual five-speed transmission as well as a hydraulic clutch to bring all the power down to the wheels. The option of a six-speed tranny is available as well. FMC completely strip down and rebuild the chassis from the ground-up, giving it the appropriate strength to be able to perform on par with the engine. A coilover suspension is fitted as well for great handling and deceleration duties are on the shoulders of 13" 6-piston brakes. It is safe to say that these GT500s drive a lot more like modern high-performance automobiles than a 50-year-old muscle car.

"Go Baby Go"

There are plenty of interesting interior options to choose from. Fusion aims to deliver modern reliability and performance while keeping the vintage feel of the Mustang. This is evident in the interior styling and trim. Bucket seats come standard, and Recaro seats can be added for an extra charge. Virtually every piece of the interior is customizable, including an optional right-hand-drive!

The coolest feature of the Eleanor, though, (accurately represented) has to be the "Go Baby Go" button on the shifter, which activates the NOS tank fitted in the trunk for a boost in power-- as if there wasn't enough of it already.

Memphis Approved

The amazing quality and craftsmanship in every piece of the car should be the selling point on it if you're not sold already. These custom Eleanor replicas include the appropriate aero parts such as the splitters and spoilers, and carbon-fiber hood and decklid are available as options. The headlights and taillights are also modernized with LED lamps to round out the great look of Eleanor. Multiple paint choices are available for you to customize your Eleanor. Regardless, you will get the top-shelf build quality of Fusion Motor Company.
