Former SEMA Star by Ringbrothers and Ford Set For Auction
Ringbrothers was commissioned by Ford to build this 2013 Mustang GT for SEMA in 2012, and to say that it has aged gracefully would be an undersatement.
Ringbrothers
Ringbrothers have made a name for themselves building high-quality restomods for years. More often than not, their projects are centered around adding modern performance to classics. But at SEMA 2012, it was this modified 2013 Ford Mustang GT that brought them a ton of praise, as well as an award.

SEMA Build
Ringbrothers were trusted by Ford to put their own spin on the new Mustang GT at the time. And the expert builders didn't disappoint. Their efforts snatched them the Special Recognition for Outstanding Achievement in Design award at SEMA. Fast-forward nearly a decade later, and the car was auctioned on Bring A Trailer earlier this week.
Only 9,000 Miles Since 2012
And judging by the photos, the Mustang looks to be in immaculate shape, even after all those years. It only shows around 9,200 miles according to the BaT listing. The auction ended on Monday with the winning bid closing at $67,000. Not a bad deal for the new owner, who will have a lot to enjoy with the custom pony car.
Attention to Detail
A quick look around the car will let onlookers know that this is no ordinary build. Every detail of the exterior, interior, and mechanical elements of the vehicle has received amazing attention to detail, and it shows. Custom-built panels all around, Nissan Cefiro Gray paint, and black and carbon fiber accents to contrast the paint, everything here screams one-of-a-kind.
Blown V8
The 2012 SEMA build's Coyote V8 was aided by a Procharger blower. Since the completion of the build, the owner has replaced the Coyote with a 5.0-liter Aluminator V8. The supercharger remains in place, as do the intercooler, Flowmaster headers, and Flowmaster GT cat-back exhaust system, adding up to 507 horsepower and 440 lb-ft of torque on the dyno.
Quality Overload
What's most amazing to us about the Mustang is how well the Ringbrothers custom design has stood the test of time. There aren't a lot of builds from the early 2010s that still hold up today. The unique details and high-quality custom touches all around the car are fresh, even by the most modern standards. It's true what they say, quality never goes out of style.
