1. 50th Anniversary

Recently Shelby American revealed the curtains to introduce their newest addition: the 2017 Shelby Super Snake wide-body concept. Designed and built in Las Vegas, the concept was revealed in Shelby American's head corporate, and the special racing Mustang is quite special. The Super Snake concept started with a Mustang GT Super Snake 50th anniversary edition.

2. Road-Racing Suspension

In a successful attempt to better the concept's handling, Shelby American added four inches to the rear track and two and a half inches to the front. The entire suspension system is a Shelby spec track suspension with performance control arms, stronger spindles, and new wheels with track tires. The suspension system also gets adjustable coil-overs, making it the perfect road-track vehicle.

3. The Heart

Powering the Shelby Super Snake concept is a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine, which was acquired from another Shelby Super Snake. The supercharged motor produces a whopping 750-horsepower, putting it right up there with all of the other competitors on the market. Buyers will also have the freedom of choosing a 670-horsepower version of the Super Snake.

4. Super Brakes

To complement the 750-horsepower the GT engine develops, Shelby American equipped the wide-body Super Snake concept with a four-piston Brembo caliper for each wheel, which clamps on 16-inch rotors in the front, and 14-inch rotors in the back. The wheels were replaced with wider ones, as well as wider tires to help with the super handling of the Super Snake.

5. Wide Body Modification

What makes this Super Snake special, aside from its 750-horsepower-producing engine, is its wide body. The fenders were pumped, yet they maintain the same design and blend as the factory Mustang while adding some muscles to the body of the car. Around the edges of the shell, Shelby American added a full aero kit, making this Shelby raw, aggressive, and vicious-looking, while maintaining a perfectly smooth body. This is the very first time Shelby offers a wide-body kit with their Mustangs.
