The best option for now

The debut of the Shelby GT500 may be on the horizon, but until then, the most power you can get for your money with a Ford Mustang badge is the 536hp GT350. If that amount of power doesn't do it for you ( and we totally understand with how bonkers horsepower ratings are getting) there is the new 710hp Stage 3 Roush Mustang.

More power

Pre-orders for the hopped-up Mustang began on September 1st with deliveries taking place after October 10th, the day that the car officially launches. The Stage 3 Roush has an Eaton-style R2650 supercharger, a performance coilover suspension with 3-way adjustable coilovers and an aero kit.

Can't beat a warranty

The Roush Stage 3 package will start at $22,925 over the price of a normal GT Mustang and comes with a 3-year / 36,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty and a 5 year / 60,000-mile powertrain warranty. if you're looking at performance Mustangs and keeping a budget in mind, this RS3 Mustang is just slightly more expensive than a Shelby GT350.

Going off of past iterations

The RS3 comes with aesthetic enhancements as well. It is an R8-derived body kit to give the Mustang more of an aero look compared to a mundane model. The interior gets an upgrade as well with new leather seat covers and a cue ball style shifter knob. There is an option for an active exhaust with an adjustable sound that can be controlled via a tablet app or smartphone.

With the peace of mind of having a warranty and the unbelievable amount of horsepower, the Stage 3 package from Roush seems like the best choice for the money a pony fan can go for.
