Anyone using fuel system cleaner?

Is it needed on our modern engines (3.7/4.0/4.6/5.0)?

I do not and have not used any additives. I do use Premium, Top Tier gas. Here is the link to the site.

http://www.toptiergas.com/

I have been using Top Tier gas since 2005, and never experienced any problems with the fuel systems or engines.

Hope this is helpful.

Doesn't hurt to run a bottle of Techron through the system once a year. Helps keep your Fuel level senders clean as well as your injectors..

Seconding Techron.

Good stuff, I run a bottle every oil change on my older cars.

I throw in a techron every 5-8k or so...

The oil separator cuts down on some of the crude build up, and the new gas formulas (additives) seem to be a lot better than they once were.

I've never truly noticed any huge difference in using it- but figured it can't hurt.

I use techron every 5k. Helps keep the fuel system clean and the additives seem to help mpg's a lil bit. Idk maybe it's in my head but I seem to be squeezing in about 20-40 miles between fill-ups

I've never actually put Techron fuel system cleaner in my car before.
Chevron gas with Techron - sure all the time.
Chevron brand fuel injector cleaner with Techron - yup use that on my BMW ever 2nd oil change.

I just ordered 2 bottles of the Techron Fuel System Cleaner. From what I read, seems like a good product to work into the mix!

I've found over the years that most "name brand" gasolines really upped their games with detergents and additives, as well as fuel purity. I used to use Techron before every oil change like religion, but I haven't found it to really be necessary in the past several years.

The only way to really clean your fuel injectors is to pull them, and either actually clean them or send them to cleaned (several big companies specialize in this)...pour-in fuel additives (be it fuel injector cleaner, octane booster, etc) is almost all marketing BS.

That was kind of my thought too. How many posts in this thread say "I don't know if it helps but it can't hurt."
