Dual Exhaust on V6 with GT Mufflers???? install 2 pipes right back?
Hi guys I got some GT take off muffers and I took them down to the muffer
shop near me to have them put on. When I came back from getting lunch they where on.
The put 2 pipes 1 each from cat right back to the muffler? No X no H or anything just each pipe going back to it's own muffer?
Dose this sound right? the guy said it will give good power and it sounds ok.
Is this ok to run it this way with no H or X set up?
ANy input would be great.

I had cat back duals with GT mufflers installed. At idle the sound sputtered, erractic, unbalanced. Went back and had an X-pipe installed. That blended, balanced and smoothed out the sound. Has a nice v8-ish growl. However I think my gas mileage dropped a bit. A normally aspirated v6 really doesn't need true duals...I've been told. Effects efficiency and low end torque slightly.
