Tunes and SC'ers and the Southwest
I drove up nearly to Phoenix today and got a tune loaded on my SCT for the Procharger. Chatted it up with Scott at Bartling Enterprises. Nice guy and he runs a nice looking shop. Has a 500+ hp 95 Lightening.
He recommends I back off the 10psi pulley for a 8. 91 is the best gas around here and he says the 100+ summers are pretty rough on a stock engine that runs that kind of boost.
I think I will install the 10 and take a 8 with me when I have him put it on the dyno. Im shooting for 300hp on the ground.
Its rainy and crappy here, dont know if I will go for it this weekend or not. I think I have the bugs worked out and should be able to be up and running in 1 day.

1) Does the procharger relocate your IAT? The Vortech does not... We moved the IAT to a better location... after the intercooler so the IAT would report an accurate intake temp so the computer could pull timing if necessary.
2) We nuetered the knock sensors... Knock sensor not only take away timing, they will try to add timing back in if they they think the car is "undersparked". We found that the knock sensors were trying to add in too much spark!! So we told them they could only subtract timing... they could never ADD timing! LOL!
IAT stays in the stock location. Good tip on the knock sensors. The last piece of tubing before the TB sits right on top of the upper radiator hose, that cant be good. I need to find some way to shield them.
I would consider moving the IAT.... the more accurate the temp reading the better...
**** your on fire Scrming!! Very nice info you have given to Burntpony!!
Once I change over to the twins, my re-mapped system will relocate the sensor to the throttle body location, after the intercooler!!
Burntpony, this community has grown in many ways from the experience of guys like Scrming!! His advice is most often good, and based on experience.. I am glad he was able to drop some knowledge on you...
I am also glad you stuck to your guns and completed your Procharger project.. Congrats!!
Like I told you before, failure is not an option for us!!
