Which intake C&L or JLT?

I'm thinking about taking the plunge and getting either the JLT and xcal2 combo or the more expensive C&L / xcal2 combo. So which one performs better? I'm not concerned about the asthetic aspect as much as the performance.

I'm guessing here... but they are probably about the same...C&L maybe a little bit better based on what I've read/seen... HOWEVER... I think the C&L is one of the best looking CAI out there! LOL! My C&L write up is at:

back in late 04 or early 05 One of the mustang mags did a huge comparo and the JLT came out on top. I think i am going to go JLT when i get one, i just like the look of it more. they are very comparable, and i think the JLT is almost $100 cheaper (if i remember correctly)

according to the article that i mentioned earlier. the JLT is the most power producing intake. I believe the article was in MM&FF and ran in late 04, or early 05

Is that the 4.0L? Evolution claims the JLT performs over the C&L, though we have not seen proof of this.

Well i went the JLT and with evolution perf, since bamachips has been slow answering my questions by email. Not to mention the price difference. I hope the difference is as great as the hype ive read so far on various forums.

That test was done based on the GT systems. Has no regard to the 4.0L intake JLT just put out. The question in my mind as of now would have been TI vs. C&L. I havent seen any independent numbers on the JLT yet at all.

They say the JLT puts out better numbers. I have a JLT intake with a Evolution tune. I am pretty happy with it and with it painted a glossy black it looks good under the hood.

I wonder the same. I'm still waiting on a tracking number from evolution, but not response from him yet.

Sorry about that, ever since I've went to Cali last week I've been behind on my emails and no matter what I can't seem to catch up. I'm going to start answering my emails from midnight on and that way I can answer the phones during the day, hahahaa.

I have these in stock and I've got a tune but I've just not had the chance to get to the dyno with one of these kits yet. JLT claims the same Hp and Tq gains as that of the C&L and with the research he's done I can expect that and have no problems quoting him on it.

Thanks, Doug.

We have had approximately 1-2WHP more gains on the C&L. To be honest, I love JLT as a company and I think they still make a quality product and great customer service, which is rare. For the price, and 2WHP difference that we've seen in house... I'd still go with JLT. That's the best hp for dollar solution.

I do the XCal2 with 3 tunes and JLT V6 CAI for $540.99 shipped.
I do the XCal2 with 3 tunes and C&L V6 CAI for $619.99 shipped.

I keep both in stock, as well as SCT XCal2's.
